Islet Picks began at home - quite literally.

We’re a husband and wife from Hong Kong, now living in the UK, running this little online store part-time alongside our day jobs. Like many people who’ve moved abroad, we brought pieces of home with us: habits, tastes, and a love for practical things that simply work.

Back in Hong Kong, everyday life is fast, compact, and clever. Homes are small, so products need to be useful, thoughtful, and well-designed. Growing up there shaped how we see “good” home goods: not flashy, not overpriced. Just sensible, reliable, and quietly smart.

After moving to the UK, we often found ourselves saying,
“Why is this so hard to find?” or
“Why is this so expensive for what it is?”

So we started Islet Picks.

We curate useful home goods from Asia. Items we personally use, items we’d happily recommend to friends, and items that make everyday living a little easier. We believe prices should be fair, quality should be honest, and good design should be accessible.

This isn’t a big operation. It’s just the two of us, carefully choosing products in the evenings, packing orders after work, and learning as we go. Every order supports something very real. Not a warehouse, but a couple trying to build something meaningful, one step at a time.
